Job Description: As a Transportation Solutions Architect, you will collaborate closely with customers, business units and sales to develop technical solutions that solve customers' business problems create business opportunities. You will focus on one or more of the following industry segments: logistics, aviation, rail, and urban mobility. Your role will be to evaluate the needs of our customers and recommend Intel-informed solutions with an eye to solutions that can be replicated across the globe. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to design system architectures that include hardware, software, networks and storage. Strong evidence of integrating moving assets with enterprise IT systems in data centers the cloud is desired. Frequent international travel may be required. Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: + Working closely with worldwide Transportation team to provide the technology framework and solutions that enable the vertical strategy; + Working with the account team to understand market trends, industry needs, customer pain influence the customer + Developing Intel's architectural recommendations + Evangelizing and winning the customer's architecture decisions by offering unified, cohesive solutions based on Intel and its fellow partners' products services. + Engaging technical decision makers, industry influencers, policy makers, and business leaders of existing and potential customers to drive awareness and early adoption of new Intel technologies, platforms and products.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: + BS in Computer Science/Engineering, EE or related technical field + Demonstrable experience developing system architectures that integrate heterogeneous hardware and software systems + Knowledge of popular operating systems and other software tools on transportation including Linux, Windows, QNX, Android and their transportation specific system software including middleware, build tools and C/C++, Java + Understanding of popular technologies in IOT, including MQTT, CoAP, time series database, KAFKA, AKKA, Hadoop, and the sensor area network communication protocols, such as 6LowPAN, BLE, ZigBee, ModBus + 5 years+ of working experience in transportation industry in a technical capacity + 3 years+ of working experience with system integrators and end customers, in a system architect, system analyst, system designer, or programmer role + Direct field experience working with end customers Preferred Qualifications: + Familiar with ecosystem partners in the transportation industry + Task-oriented self-starter with a positive attitude, enjoys working in a multicultural environment, ability to communicate ideas clearly both orally in writing to executive staff technical staff + Prior account ownership experience + Familiarity with Intel's customers and products + MSEE or MSCS preferred, MBA preferred Inside this Business Group
