Job Description: Develops tools to build and conduct stability and performance testing/analysis on Intel software projects (i.e., drivers, system software, software products, software services, etc.). Requires expertise in software development, networking and operating system internals. This position is not a typical System Administration role responding to individual user needs, but is focused on supporting product teams and doing larger tasks to configure and set up systems and tools to support those software development teams.
We are seeking an experienced Linux and Windows systems administrator. Experience with cluster systems/large-scale HPC clusters, and/or configuration and support of software development environments and tools is highly desirable. We're looking for a creative highly-motivated individual with passion, innovation, ability with automation, and experience with architecture, administration, and system integration. In this role, you will have an opportunity to contribute to the overall delivery of next-generation, integrated software solutions for a wide range of environments from high-performance computing deployments down to to much smaller IOT devices. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work with both internal and external stakeholders – SW groups in the Data Center Group, Software Services Group, and across Intel. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: -Analyze solutions components, understand systems integration challenges and identify technology gaps -Resolve / propose solutions to above gaps to reach future performance targets and functionality requirements -Prototype features and perform integration checkout of various software components, and collaborate with component developers and solutions architects -Develop / drive validation test content and evaluate systems components -Build, package, and debug relevant products from the open-source community -Engage with industry partners as required to identify and investigate best known methods used in the HPC community and apply those methods -Utilize scripting skills to improve team efficiency through automation of tasks Also you should have: -Proven ability to work across organizational and functional boundaries -Excellent technical communication skills to support a worldwide team Inside this Business Group
