We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated UX designer to join our San Francisco Ignite team. The ideal candidate is a maker at heart and understands how to collaborate with a cross disciplinary team of researchers, designers and strategists to bring compelling stories and solutions to life. As a Strategic Innovation Associate you will be asked to challenge yourself to envision the future and then help make it so.

Developing deep empathy, understanding and insight into user behavior, motivations and business value
Building and designing in multiple tools and media — digital, physical, motion, foam core, hardware hacking, photography…
Collaborating with teams to build user-centered scenarios that translate stories into compelling solutions
Exploring concepts and rapidly creating sketches, wireframes, mockups and/or prototypes that help make future experiences tangible
Advocating for a simple, modern design and developing the principles that can help guide this vision to reality
Working on fast-paced projects, collaborating with a cross disciplinary team and having fun while doing it

Experience
3 + years experience designing compelling interactions across a variety of media and industries, e.g mobile, web, entertainment, enterprise, IOT
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Strong interaction design background, e.g. information architecture, task flows, wireframes and understanding of latest UX patterns
Strong visual design background, e.g. color, composition, typography
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, Flinto, Marvel, etc.
Experience conducting or participating in user-centered research that generates actionable insights that can inform thoughtful design concepts
A portfolio that shows how you tell stories, think through a business challenge and tangibly solve problems
Preferred requirements:
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and modern JS libraries/frameworks a plus
Strong understanding and demonstration of user-centered methods and best practices
Self-motivated, a good communicator, and able to balance quality deliverables with tight deadlines
An understanding of how to translate business strategy and insights into a well defined user experience
Ability to communicate your ideas to a wide variety of key stakeholders
The confidence to know what you don't know and ask for help when needed
Video design and motion experience is a plus
