The Consultant Analytics role is a client-facing, trusted business partner who
is regarded as a domain expert, able to translate expertise into actionable,
analytic insights to drive IRI’s clients’ business performance. The
Consultant understands how to leverage existing and new, innovative approaches
to address potential new clients’ business challenges and market opportunities
( i.e. brand equity, trade marketing, pricing and promotions). The
Consultant develops and maintains a deep understanding of clients’ businesses
cross-functionally and a strong knowledge of new and emerging analytic solutions
( both IRI and industry) that anticipate and strategically position IRI’s
clients for success.
The Consultant participates in the development of new service offerings by
building and enhancing the value and breadth of the current solutions. This
individual builds and maintains a strong working knowledge of current trends in
the Marketing, Market Research, and CPG Industries including Trade, Pricing and
Promotion and other analytic techniques that will be the foundation to drive
actionable insights. The Consultant applies superior business savvy and
consultative sales capabilities to client engagement in order to covert
insights into revenue and margin contributions to IRI Analytics.
Additionally, the Consultant develops best practices, templates and deliverables
around the data.
– 8-10 years experience
3-5 years practical experience with Trade Planning for Manufacturers; either
as practioneer or vendor
Working knowledge of trade planning process and familiarity with key TPM
systems, features, terminology and best practices
Vision for defining and maintaining internal and client roadmap for Trade
Planner solution. Ability to balance and prioritize feedback from multiple
Product Management experience using Agile development process
– Able to engage in a consultative manner across multiple levels ( c-suite to
end user) with a strong executive presence, demonstrating strong
presentation and influencing skills.
– High level of strategic competency.
– Superior understanding of client issues at both strategic and
