IDEX America Inc. and its parent company IDEX ASA, a leading developer of fingerprint sensor devices, are building an

ASIC Development site in Rochester, NY and are seeking experienced Sr. Test Engineers to help develop and test state-

of-the-art mixed-signal fingerprint sensing devices. As Sr. Test Engineer, you will work closely with colleagues in the ASIC

Development organization as well as with other teams within the IDEX R&D, System Engineering and Sensor Development

teams to deliver high-volume, mixed-signal products based on cutting-edge sensor technologies into Mobile, Smart Card

and IoT markets. This position will be a pivotal role for IDEX to guide corporate direction on characterization and production

test strategies, work with suppliers to select test platforms and equipment, and work closely with the ASIC Design Team to

develop/implement ASIC characterization and production test plans. You will also collaborate with other product teams to

root cause issues that result from debug, characterization and margin analysis and the position will also allow for the

opportunity to provide test enhancement feedback for future designs.

Tasks and Develop Mixed-Signal ASIC Test Strategy in collaboration with management and team
responsibilities: members

Work with product-level teams to partition test strategy between wafer-level and product
level test environments

Create production and characterization test plans

Develop production test hardware for new products, including load boards and probe cards

Design PCBs to interface ATE resources with the devices under test (DUT) and develop
PCB circuitry to augment ATE capabilities

Develop test solution on automated test equipment (ATE) to validate, characterize, and

production-test fingerprint sensing devices

Work with design engineers to implement required test modes in the product

Work with design engineers to integrate design for test (DFT) features into new designs.

Mentor less experienced engineers, review their work to ensure quality is being met, and

make suggestions for improvements.

Interface with internal and external vendors to develop test schematics, optimize test board

layout, component selection and manufacture of all necessary test hardware

Validate test systems to ensure test coverage, correlation to bench measurements, and
measurement repeatability

Coordinate with remote manufacturing sites to release new test systems to production

Provide production sustaining support to reduce test time, improve measurement stability

and help debug yield issues

Ensure timely and successful delivery of projects

Must possess an in-depth knowledge of mixed-signal device performance parameters and

Required test methods.
Experience: Working knowledge of basic circuits – R-C filters, opamp circuits, etc.

10 or more years of experience in developing ATE test solutions for mixed-signal
semiconductor ICs

Solid hardware design and trouble-shooting skills

Strong programming background (C, C++, Perl, etc.)

Ability to work within a multi-discipline team from architecture to system prototyping

Creativity and analysis skills with ability to research and devise new tests

Excellent problem solving and debugging skills

Desirable Experience with high volume, consumer, capacitive touch-related products
Experience: Experience on variety of mixed-signal testers

Excellent written and communication skills

Ability to create detailed written test specifications of complex circuits and systems

Detail oriented and self-starter, ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision

Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal ASIC development processes and techniques

Ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed, cross-functional team

organization

Ability to effectively transfer knowledge within the organization

Education: BS / MS in Electrical, Computer or Microelectronics Engineering
