Animal Health is a data-driven organization that emphasizes having a sound
analytic foundation for its key decisions. The Senior Business Analyst will have the
responsibility for enabling improvements in MWI’s financial and operational
performance by improving organizational knowledge through improved data analysis,
reporting and analytical capabilities.
The Senior Business Analyst is the
business point person supporting strategic and tactical analytics to make
better informed business decisions in areas of sales, warehouse management,
inventory management and other decision support requirements. This position
will work cross functionally to facilitate and encourage user adoption of
enterprise analysis tools. In addition, this role will assist in defining and
creating reports, dashboards, and scorecards that support strategic objectives,
company metrics and KPI's established by the leadership team.
Document and define key
metrics that will be used for measurement and accountability of company
performance, operational efficiency and profitability.
Understand and determine
high-level business requirements and then implement appropriate metrics
using dashboards and other reporting methods.
Monitor reports and research
issues and data discrepancies and then follow-through to facilitate
process changes to ensure prompt response to issues, improved data
integrity and quality.
Ownership and management
of existing and new data sourcing processes, internal and external to MWI.
Ensure processes are established to best utilized and derive value for the

stakeholders to recommend system modifications and facilitate user
acceptance testing and implementation of these changes.
Perform ad hoc reporting
and analysis based on customer requests and other business needs.
Assists the leadership
team with special projects as needed.
Minimum Experience and
A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance/Accounting,
Operations Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent field of study. Two years of
experience in SQL query language and a working knowledge of Tableau is desired.
Proficiency with MS Excel advanced functions is required. MBA is preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally
in order to make ongoing improvements to the operation. Ability to lead teams
and facilitate meetings while ensuring deliverables are documented and followed
through to closure. Experienced data analysis capability with the ability to
recognize and translate commonalities, trends, and anomalies within large
diverse data sets into business insights. Demonstrated technical aptitude,
including database concepts and familiarity with database query concepts.
