Pre-Sales Consultant (aka Solutions Engineers) for our Big Data offering

We are hiring Pre Sales Engineers to continue to build a proactive, customer-facing organization that ensures customers are getting value from Talend’s products and solutions.
We are seeking Engineers to join the sales team and support the increasing demand from our direct sales. Our portfolio of products has expanded from purely Data Integration to include Data Quality (DQ), Master Data Management (MDM), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Big Data and Cloud Integration.
Reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineers for the Americas, the main responsibilities are to secure the “technical win” in growing our customer’s community and contribute to the enablement of our prospects during their selection process.
Overall, we are looking for motivated individuals focused on acquiring new business and capable of supporting key job role functions such as:
Identifying business issues and relating them to Talend capabilities
Articulating Talend’s value proposition and differentiation at all levels within prospect organizations (Developer team to CIO)
Engaging in and responding to RFI/RFP procurement processes
Constant qualification of opportunities
Building and delivery of comprehensive tailored demonstrations
Management and successful delivery of Proof of Concepts (POC)
Demonstrating success at working both independently and as a valued team player within the extended sales and management team
Significant and current experience of two or more of the following disciplines:
Data Integration (ETL); experienced in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
Big Data technologies: Hadoop Distributions, Spark, MapReduce, Hive, PIG, NoSQL Databases (Cassandra, MongoDb, etc…)
Cloud Solutions: AWS Stack (S3, Redshift, EMR), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
Demonstrate the ability to manage a high number of concurrent, active prospects
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Team Player, helping and receiving help to/from Pre-Sales peers
ETL tool (Talend, Informatica, Pentaho, etc…) and Java experience a plus.
