You will play an important part in developing IMS’s Predictive Analytics offering in the US across a range of challenging analytical areas relating to patient health. You will work closely with both the Global Predictive Analytics team and the US RWES team to accelerate Predictive Analytics offerings and revenue in the US. The role will encompass a mix of delivery and business development responsibilities including:
I) Delivery: Contributing to the design and execution of Predictive Analytics client and R&D projects, ensuring projects are analytically rigorous and delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard; developing and mentoring project managers without specialist analytics knowledge to facilitate the scale-out of Predictive Analytics offerings.
II) Business development: Working closely with US RWES Principals and sales teams to grow revenue from Predictive Analytics projects through support in identifying opportunities, writing proposals and pitching to clients.
Ideally, you will have a strong statistical/analytics/data science background (preferably involving predictive analytics), a pro-active, problem-solving attitude, extensive business or commercial experience in healthcare (preferably in the pharmaceutical sector), outstanding written and verbal communication skills and demonstrable project management skills. Skills & Experience
Candidates interested in joining the Global Predictive Analytics team as a Senior Consultant will have:
A strong analytical background in data science, advanced statistical methods or machine learning.
Extensive experience in healthcare / life sciences or the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in healthcare / life sciences with focus on strategic business cases for analytics services or products.
Strong capability in managing analytics projects and juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high quality outcomes.
Experience of working in sizable/multi-disciplined teams
Experience of developing credible relationships with senior level managers and executives in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Demonstrable analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills.
Inquisitiveness, attention to detail, ability to assess the situation and question norms.
Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and analytics report writing.
Prior experience with software packages such as R, Python, Matlab and SAS is desirable.
Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques would be desirable.
Qualifications & Other Requirements
In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining as a Senior Consultant will have:
BA/BSc from a top university, preferably in a relevant and / or numerate subject, e.g. computer science, economics, life sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, statistics etc.
A postgraduate qualification in life sciences or computer science discipline is desirable although not essential.
Extensive experience in healthcare consulting / experience in life science sector industry.
Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral).
A solid track record of extra-curricular achievement.
