Product Team Marketing Manager...

Emerson is
looking for a collaborative marketer who has a broad range of experience with
consumer and electronic products. You’ll be working with a cross-functional,
product-centered team to plan marketing and advertising activities for a full
line of the most innovative connected products on the market.

As the IoT
space heats up, you’ll be on the forefront of responding to rapidly-changing
consumer expectations as you use your diverse set of marketing skills to keep
Emerson products at the forefront in of their categories.

You’ll
need to use your background to address marketing needs relating to website, online
listings, mobile apps, digital advertising and marketing, videos, in-store
merchandising, sales collateral and more.

The key to
your success will be balancing the needs of the product teams and the resources
you have in a highly collaborative, ever-evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Be
    the primary liaison between product team and the marketing department to ensure
    brand cohesion, timeliness of deliverables, proper messaging and maximum market
    impact for the budgeted spend
  • Work
    in cross-functional product teams to develop and help execute marketing
    activities according to the needs of the consumer market. Teams are made up of
    experts from product development, software engineering, sales, technical
    support and customer experience.
  • Work
    with Brand Marketing Manager, VP of Marketing and product team members to set
    and execute marketing strategy for your product line
  • Manage
    and assist in the execution of projects that improve the customer experience
    pre- & post-purchase. This includes packaging, point-of-purchase
    collateral, website maintenance, structure & messaging, online product
    listings, digital advertising, video creation, promotional support and other
    aspects as the market dictates
  • Review
    all projects with Brand Marketing Manager at the appropriate stages for brand
    approval to maintain brand consistency
  • Work with UX/UI team,
    web site team and customer experience team to present your products in the best
    possible way while adhering to brand standards

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s
    degree in Marketing, Business or related field is required
  • 5+
    years relevant business experience, preferably in marketing B2C consumer
    products
  • Must
    be able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with an emphasis
    on collective teamwork
  • Strong
    project management skills with experience in cross-discipline collaboration
  • Understanding
    of how different business and marketing disciplines come together to accomplish
    one cohesive plan
  • Ability
    to motivate a team towards a collective end goal and deliverable
  • Experience
    with web site creation, CMS tools, SEO & SEM
  • Understanding
    of hardware & software products using mobile apps / portals
  • Experience
    in digital marketing, both in-channel (Amazon) and ad networks
  • Experience
    managing third party partners, including agencies, on a project-basis
  • Ability
    to interpret marketing analytics and respond to research
  • Demonstrated
    time management skills while performing multiple tasks and activities
  • Strong
    oral and written communication skills
  • Working
    knowledge of the Adobe creative suite and understanding of the creative process
    including print and digital applications
  • Proficiency
    in Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability
    to travel on a periodic basis
  • Valid
    driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some
    website UX and content management experience
  • Ability
    to assist in the preparation, presentation and support of various sales and/or
    product training materials
  • Ability
    to take parts of a plan and create one uniform presentation that tells a cohesive
    story
  • Ample
    experience working in teams with strong collaborative structures
  • Experience
    in product marketing strategy and developing marketing plans
