Today’s Internet-of-Things ( IoT ) applications rely on item-level data enabled by RAIN RFID technology. Impinj, the world’s #1 provider of RAIN RFID products and solutions, is looking for an experienced Product Engineer for our RFID reader, gateway, and module products. You will work closely with design engineering and operations to transition new RFID reader and module products to volume production and sustain existing products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Track and monitor production yield and quality using data analysis tools. Coordinate evaluation and approval of EOL components. Investigate root cause of production yield issues and product RMAs. Work closely with reader and module design teams to define test approach/requirements. Define and validate production test software developed by sub-contractors or internal teams. Investigate production yield and product returns to determine root cause and correction actions. Author technical documents and reports for internal or customer consumption. Travel several times per year to Asia, visiting our mfg. partners.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline and at least 5 years of direct related industry experience. Product engineering experience with RF, PCB, and/or network products. In-depth knowledge of RF, analog, and digital circuits with ability to troubleshoot in the laboratory. Proficiency with PLM (Oracle-Agile, Arena) and data analysis tools ( Spotfire , Mini-Tab) and/or others. Experience working with volume production contract manufacturers.

Additional Desirable Qualifications: RF and PCB circuit design experience. Software programming skills – Python or C++
