The marketing team is looking for an energetic Marketing Communications Manager. The position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will work from our Redwood City, CA headquarters.
Marketing Communications Manager
The Marketing Communications Manager is involved in all aspects of our marketing communications’ functions and activities including branding and corporate messaging, lead generation campaigns, industry events, and sales and marketing collateral, in order to drive aggressive revenue growth and market recognition for C3 IoT. The position requires strong marketing communications skills to deliver compelling business value messages. This is a key role that requires interfacing with all levels of the C3 IoT team. Responsibilities:
Corporate Communications & Collateral Materials – Create and edit company communications including data sheets, brochures, customer success stories, advertising copy, web copy, sales presentations, and sales communications tools to showcase C3 IoT’s products and business opportunities.
Work closely with C3 IoT leadership on targeting, placement and communications preparedness around key programs, activities, and events
Develop creative, targeted promotions and lead generation programs and develop ROI calculator to measure the success of each
Lead copy writing and complete artwork review for marketing materials and campaigns to ensure information is accurate, compelling, and aligned with brand guidelines
Event Management – Work closely with appropriate internal stakeholders to develop event strategies, detailed budgets, and overall event tracker/calendar that meets the business’ needs and objectives. Coordinate with third-party agencies, event management companies and others to execute all details of an event strategy including meeting rooms, company banners/graphics, literature and handouts, giveaways, catering, team preparation, etc., Develop and implement post-show evaluation criteria and mechanism to determine the overall qualitative success of the event as well as quantitative event ROI.
Create and execute cost effective and successful lead generation programs/campaigns and work with sales operations to qualify them into sales opportunities.
Develop and facilitate communication training and tools in conjunction with appropriate leadership, managers and staff to prepare and engage C3 IoT team members in proactive outreach opportunities Requirements:
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess a combination of experience and education that would likely produce the desired job outcomes. Specific requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
3+ years of B2B marketing and communications experience. Experience in the software industry preferred.
Strong understanding of all marketing communication vehicles, with particular strength in content creation/writing, event management, and lead generation campaigns.
Excellent messaging and writing skills, with ability to understand and translate technical speak and product offerings into compelling benefit messages.
Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
Strong computer skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and understanding of Web analytics.
Strong verbal communication skills and a professional presence.
Ability to manage multiple, high-detail, deadline-sensitive projects with a high level of quality in all deliverables.
Effective in a fast-paced, team-oriented and highly innovative environment
