The Lead Data Analyst/Business Intelligence (BI) Developer position exists to lead the technical development of analytics and reporting of Howard County General Hospital’s clinical, operational, research, and financial goals. This position will develop, test, and implement new and enhanced reports/tools, define new data aggregation views, working with key stakeholders to develop and enhance the quality and presentation of operational metrics, trend analyses, and statistical models. Responsible to ensure, that an IT/BI industry standard system development life cycle project management technique is used in all application development, implementation, and enhancements. Will work closely with the Population Health Program Administrator and the Howard County Regional Partnership Project Manager.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in IT or related field is required. Masters strongly preferred; Professional certification(s) and/or related experience may substitute for formal education requirement on a two years’ experience-for-one year education basis.
Certified or ability to be certified in at least one of Epic’s data models within 6 months. Experience with clinical/business analytics reporting.Knowledge of current healthcare environments preferred.
Minimum of one year of experience using QlikView preferred. Required one year of expereince with Business Interlligence Tools (Microsoft, Tableau, Business Objects, Olikview, etc.
At least two years of experience in Information Technology with a solid understanding of SDLC methodologies (e.g.: Agile & Scrum), enterprise reporting applications (such as Business Objects, SSRS, etc), ,developing datasets/reports for analytics reporting.
