JOB SUMMARY: You will be tasked with understanding the business drivers of the Billing/Collections organization and providing the tools and data-driven insights to optimize and improve customer retention. Customer Retention is one of the top metrics that is looked at by the board of directors and part of your job will be to help drive this metric. As a Jr Business Analyst, it will be your job to build the tools that will guide decisions and help us answer challenging business questions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop deep understanding of Vivint’s customer retention and understand how the various parts of the business work together

Understand the business case for our current efforts and help understand tradeoffs, ROI, and strategy implications of potential new initiatives

Take responsibility for data integrity and be able to craft and build a narrative of what’s happening in the business

Help build daily reporting and operational metrics for Billing/Collections

Conduct ad hoc data analysis as requested

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Intermediate to advanced MS SQL querying skills

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Ability to manage projects and meet tight deadlines

Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and develop reports accordingly (not just live in code)

Demonstrated ability to visualize data clearly and creatively

Skills with statistical programs a plus (R, SAS, Stata, etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1 or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields a plus: business intelligence, business analytics, report writing, predictive analytics, workforce management, etc.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of corporate management

Highly analytical with strong, demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking capabilities

Knowledge and understanding of Excel-base analysis, financial modeling, regression modeling and segmentation analysis a plus

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Manager in Billing/Collections

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
