This role can be located either in the: Chicago, IL., Minneapolis, MN., Detroit, MI., or Cleveland, OH metro areas.As an IoT Distribution Technical Sales Development Manager, the candidate will be responsible for working with key distribution partners to engage new and existing customers to influence the inclusion of company products into their designs and solutions. They will own ensuring distribution sales and FAE teams are prepared to drive sales of company products and solutions by collaborating with the business unit for content and training. Candidate will work with distribution sales and business unit technical resources to ensure the recommended Intel solutions meet customer requirements. Works directly with customers to resolve technical issues in achieving the solution/design proposal. Guides distribution and/or Intel account manager and customer through the design phase with technical resources. Individuals act as technical experts, consultants, analysts and technical support specialists. Successful candidate would be responsible for helping distribution customers adopt Intel IOT technologies by accurately representing the different layers in the IOT Solutions Architecture that leads to a deployable offerings, efficient go to market plans and accountable revenue pipeline through distribution. This role will collaborate closely with distribution, partners and customers in the customer value chain including but not limited to: OEM’s, Intel Internet of Things Solutions Alliance members, system integrators, solution integrators, solution providers, ISVs service providers. Responsibilities The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: • Working with Intel’s Internet of Things Group Business Units, OEM’s, ISV’s, SI’s and other key stakeholders to understand market trends, industry needs, and customer pain points. • Broad industry knowledge along with a deep understanding of the IOT Solution Architecture and software layers to connect edge devices to cloud providers. • Understanding of competitive architectures and ability to sell value of Intel based solutions. • Proven experience in driving complex competitive solution sales scenarios, working in a collaborative environment and taking leadership of driving opportunities to closure. • Strong results-oriented, proactive, confident under pressure and demonstrated skills in solution selling. • Strong leadership skills, planning, excellent communication, virtual-team engagement, time management, negotiation and presentation skills are essential. • Evangelizing, winning and building a revenue pipeline with focused distributors by offering unified, cohesive solutions based on Intel and partner-led products and services. • Building relationships with key account executives, understanding customer business problem
Minimum must have skills: • MS/BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related technical experience. • 3 – 5 years technical sales, pre-sales support, field applications engineer, technical applications engineer or customer support engineering experience. Additional (Preferred) Qualifications: • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action through a team to drive results. • Self-motivated and able to independently execute and prioritize workloads. Strong technical acumen and demonstrated ability to influence customer designs. • Strong technical background in embedded and IOT (internet of things) applications from sensors through cloud and analytics software. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate well with customers on the phone and/or email. • Familiarity with Intel's embedded business and ecosystem. • Desired: experience working with System Integrators and end customers to design and deploy end to end solutions. • Direct field experience in working with end customers and/or partners. • Comfortable contributing at all levels, including at the CxO level. • Experience with MPU Design, Board and System level Solutions • Experience with Embedded OEMs/ODMs a plus • Good Team Skills • Broad Market ExpertiseID#: I0085 Inside this Business Group
