IoT Systems Engineering Intern

The IoT (Internet of Things) Systems Engineering Intern will be responsible for performing entry-level systems engineering tasks associated with a complex IoT System.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schneider Electric is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to participate in the system development for a leading edge IoT system.

This division of Schneider-Electric offers an exciting development environment where creativity is strongly encouraged and flexibility is rewarded.

The chosen candidate will provide technical assistance under close mentor guidance on some or all of the following tasks:

Assist in formulating requirements, and provide input on alternative approaches

Provide technical input for the integration of requirements, design and technology

Assist in incorporating new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations

Assist in developing design, architecture, and system documentation

Participate in Configuration Control Board meetings, design reviews, program reviews and test reviews that require cross –discipline coordination

Assist in managing and ensuring technical integrity of the system baseline over time

Learn to use various commercial and proprietary tools to complete tasks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics. Must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited Bachelor’s or graduate program.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work both independently and with a team

Strong critical thinking skills

Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and SysML

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
