IoT Manufacturing Sales Account Manager

PTC is looking for talented, enthusiastic, and career-minded individuals to join our North American sales organization where you will have the opportunity work with the acknowledged leader in the incredibly dynamic Internet of Things (IoT) application space. Our current customer base includes a growing number of companies in a range of industries. Focus will be on selling IoT Solutions into manufacturers of Smart Connected Products and Smart Connected Manufacturing segments. We are looking for motivated sales professionals to work in these market segments which would include any manufacturer/end users looking to embrace IoT technologies for their respective markets through a connected applications offering. Many of the world’s largest manufacturing companies are entering into this fast paced IoT space to create new revenue streams and offer greater visibility to how their specific products “live” in the real world. The sales team will require the skillset to translate the IoT value proposition into real-world business value.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned revenue target by selling PTC ThingWorx complete line of solutions and services to global leaders in the Manufacturing industry
  • Make profit of PTC large customer database to create a pipeline of opportunities by identifying, selecting and addressing companies supposed to be interested in ThingWorx solutions
  • Provide leadership to a cross-functional account team (sales, presales specialists, global services)
  • Significantly extend the existing strategic relationship with customers/prospects
  • Drive and manage the entire sales cycle – from identifying the right business initiatives and building a competitive value proposition to negotiating and closing the deal
  • Competent in the ability to forecast and assess revenue opportunities
  • Investigate and understand the internal business processes of potential clients
  • Build high level executive/SVP relationship sales long term partnership

Minimum Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in selling enterprise solutions to major accounts
  • Knowledge of IoT / M2M solutions or of MES / Automation solutions
  • Solid experience of discrete manufacturing industry
  • Successful sales track record
  • Able to work in a team and goals driven
  • Consistent top performer/ President’s Club or equivalent
  • Fluent in English and in German

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
