Job Description

Develop complex analytic queries, stored procedures, triggers, user-defined functions, views, ETL and data processing jobs on large data sets and from various sources.

Develop and implement solutions using organizational data warehouse, data marts, and operational data stores.

Profile, optimize and scale queries, indexes, ETL and data processing jobs.

Good understanding of software development life cycles.

Continuously create and review high-quality documentation throughout the project’s development life cycle.

Conduct code review or knowledge transfer sessions to the development team, enhancing their understanding of RDBMS, Big Data and Hadoop best practices.

Stay abreast of information management trends and standards, master data management, big data, data services, self-service business intelligence, metadata management, data quality, and data governance.

Collaborate with stake holders, engineers, project management team and architects to identify and gather business requirements for new projects

Proven ability to work on large projects in agile manner to maintain continuous delivery and cumulative value for the business

Serve as an escalation point for difficult problems and complex inquiries.

Proven experience with identifying, prioritizing and resolving development impacting issues, and working with members of project management team and business SME's/executives to drive to solutions within defined processes.

Identify sources and trends of technical problems to prevent future occurrences.

Take ownership of the issues, through root cause analysis and resolution.

Effective written and communication skills. Qualifications

Preferably have at least 1-year of experience with Big Data ecosystems like Netezza, Teradata, etc.

Preferably proficient with ETL and Parser/RegEx development with XML, JSON, CSV, URL, ASN1, etc. data formats

Experienced in developing and/or extending Java-based open source software is a plus.

Experienced in supporting production systems in a DevOps capacity is a plus.

Experienced in integrating with interactive dashboards or with statistical tools such as Tableau, SSRS, R, etc. is a plus.

Must haves:
SQL, Hadoop, SSRS, Teradata-Mandatory
