Primary Purpose of the Job

  • The Global Data Analytics Consultant performs highly complex activities and is primarily accountable for financial and non-financial analysis around the Global Business Services (GBS) programs and projects as the data analyst liaison of the GBS Resource Unit (RU) leadership. This position interfaces with the RU leaders on a regular basis to fulfill analysis for strategic and/or financial GBS demands. The Consultant will have high visibility to the GBS leadership and GBS Program Management Office (PMO) by helping drive and track strategic decisions though robust & rigorous analysis of data around productivity, cost, efficiency, quality, among other metrics and areas for development and opportunities identification.
  • Collaborates with leadership on the key organizational strategic levers, by providing meaningful insights and highlighting the development & opportunities identification through data analysis
  • Generates, presents, and highlights the areas that require attention based on past performance history, progress of execution, desired targets, trends, and results for each of the managed project or program(s) for the GBS PMO
  • Leads the data consolidation, creation, and maintenance of the standardized reporting and analytical process in partnership with the IT organization to support performance tracking of meaningful KPI's for specific processes or projects
  • Manages project activities using proper project management practices to ensure on-time delivery
  • Works with the necessary teams to develop and implement new processes and procedures to drive improved data quality for reporting and analysis
  • Understands the business processes and how these relate to the requirements for building reports, data and KPIs
  • Benchmarks with external entities to understand best practices and metrics to measure the different internal processes and how they align with current existing processes
  • Continuously works to drive an environment that proactively helps the GBS resource units to identify new opportunities through advanced data analytics

Major activitied / Key challenges

  • Driving organizational change management for new strategies regionally and globally-across diverse cultures, languages, and time zones
  • Leading and influencing people in senior roles through presenting meaningful insights and highlighting potential opportunities through data analytics
  • Coordinates data collection, consolidation, and reporting of KPIs for the programs in scope
  • Presents and highlights conclusions from data pattern, trends or history to many different levels in the organization, including the ongoing weekly PMO
  • Eliminates waste and drives efficiencies in current reporting processes and systems
  • Partners with IT to lead the creation of sustainable data consolidation and visualization processes, provide maintenance of the standardized reporting, and act as the integration between the customers and IT
  • Works with the necessary leads to facilitate deep dives on the data analysis and support them on developing long term strategies
  • Understands the business processes and how these relate to the requirements for building reports, data and KPIs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/IS, Business, Math, Engineering Finance, Economics, Statistics or Accounting from an accredited institution
    .
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience data analytics (financial or non-financial)
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of Hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Engineering, or Statistics focus
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in presenting data and reporting to senior leadership
  • Strong analytical skills, with proven capabilities in data modeling
  • Strong project management skills
  • Initiative and drive to develop and improve business processes
  • Experience working successfully across organizational and functional boundaries to solve problems and implement solutions
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and gain trust with individuals at all levels
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and executive presentation skills
  • Experience with data analytics tools, Oracle eBusiness Suite, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Microsoft BI Tools knowledge and/or SQL languages preferred
