We are looking for an
Enterprise Data
to join our corporate IT team in
Glendale, CA
and report directly to Chief Information
Technology Officer.

Data Architect
engages directly with IT leadership, development teams, technical
delivery teams, other enterprise architects, resource managers, operations
support teams and vendors to ensure the appropriate standards, guidelines, best
practices and approved modeling techniques and approaches are developed and

This individual will be a key asset in
both the software development lifecycle as well as the operations production
support lifecycle. This requires a keen sense of the varied technologies,
systems and business requirements across the entire IT solutions portfolio. In
addition, she/he will assist in the creation, championing, maturity and
adoption of an Enterprise Information Management program across the


  • Lead overall physical and logical
    modeling standards, guidelines, best practices, approved techniques and
  • Participate in due diligence of
    new software purchases by reviewing all proposed data models contained in
    packaged or commercially available applications.
  • Serve on data integration,
    business intelligence and content management competency panels or teams.
  • Work jointly with the application
    development and database administration teams in developing the data
    objects and data models to support data services under a service-oriented
    architecture approach.
  • Establish and manage the metadata
    management approach for the organization.
  • Develop and support the maturity
    and adoption of an Enterprise Information Management program across the
  • Perform the necessary facilitation, analysis
    and design tasks related to the development of Enterprise Information
    Management and data architecture
  • Define standards and best practices for the
    group as a highly regarded subject matter expert; has a wide breadth of
    knowledge across technologies within their area
  • Serve as a data expert on projects
  • Influence and engage in technical strategic
    direction with respect to data and related technologies, including creating
    business cases
  • Analyze the technology industry and market
    trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise’s data
  • Lead the development of an implementation
    plan for data architecture based on business requirements; researches,
    evaluates and recommends new technologies



  • B.S. Computer Science or related discipline
    or equivalent work experience and technical certifications
  • 8+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on
    data management and analytics
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a
    data-related specialization (data integration, data modeling, data warehousing,
    business intelligence, etc)
  • Experience with business intelligence and/or
    data warehouse technologies and design patterns required
  • Experience with and/or exposure to all 4
    tiers of data analytics preferred (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive,
  • Experience with OLTP data modeling preferred
  • Understands, advocates, and supports the
    enterprise’s IT and enterprise architecture strategies
  • Willing and able to be hands-on as needed
    (data modeling, data integration, metadata management)
  • Ability to work independently or in a small
    group and serves as a teacher and mentor to other associates
  • Must have proven ability to build trust
    relationships with business partners
  • Understands technical solutions and business
    impacts of the solution
  • Familiarity with, and demonstrated understanding of, the general enterprise
    business and technical architectures.
  • Proven ability and experience diplomatically presenting challenging positions
    and positively influencing others without resorting to authority; ability to
    debate effectively for or against project changes, continuation or
    cancellation, as appropriate.
  • Experience in
    facilitating change, including collaboration with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Proven internal and external influencing
    skills at senior and executive management levels.
