In this position you will report directly to the Director of Program Management and play a key role in the development of innovative Smart Home and IoT products. You will initiate and manage new engineering projects by working closely with peer project managers and with our talented R&D team.
The person we are looking for is highly motivated and able to lead cross-functional development activities consisting of product management, engineering development, quality engineering, technical support and product operations to define, build, and launch Smart Home/IoT products into the marketplace. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a blend of strong technical knowledge and ability to lead others to accomplish great things. The Engineering Project Manager will balance business needs against the program schedule within scope and to meet budget goals.
Manage engineering product development projects for on time delivery within the budget.
Identify and resolve issues that could affect project schedule or delivery commitments.
Track and communicate program status in both formal and informal settings.
Foster and maintain effective communication between local and global cross-functional product delivery teams.
Bi-lingual in English and Mandarin with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
3+ years hands on experience in engineering project management working with cross functional development teams from product concept to first shipment.
Highly motivated with willingness to work well with peers, individual contributors, and functional managers.
Prior experience working with hardware, software, quality engineering, documentation, and customer support components to complete product deliverables.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to remove project roadblocks in a fast paced environment.
Knowledge of product methodologies, and experience using planning and scheduling tools such as JIRA, confluence, rally, and MS Project.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
MBA with emphasis on program or product management or MS in Engineering.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
