    Job Description Summary:

    The Cloud Services Specialist assists with the planning, development, installation, configuration, testing, administration, troubleshooting, and documentation of enterprise cloud-based systems, including interfaces, shared components, networking, and application level protocols. Assists with oversight and coordination of cloud service providers to optimize the performance of Platform to Enterprise cloud-based systems or partner-deployed hardware and works with key stakeholder groups as needed. Components of which range from Registration services, Analytics, Weather services, BIM/CRM integrations, and Third party control cloud integrations, including data privacy and localization issues.
    Efficiency, flexibility, team work, and quality of work are paramount. Technical level English skills, written and spoken, is required. Primarily deliverables are electronic and virtualized software products in support of Uponors’ Indoor Climate, Plumbing, and Infrastructure business segments, and the support of existing control products and platforms.

    Job Description:

    Assists with the development, management, testing and supports multiple enterprise wide cloud based systems and services; designs, recommends, and supports enterprise-wide computing systems, and related infrastructure. Assists with the performance of system interaction design and develops policies, procedures and standards related to the development and maintenance of cloud based systems. This includes documentation, coordination of third party/vendor resources, system maintenance, and testing.

    Creates and performs end to end functional testing with support from the Cloud Services Senior Engineer and Department Manager

    Creates project plans and status reports to others to ensure project milestones and targets are met.

    Assists the creation of technical documentation generation, change-control, and archiving; for specifications, software, manuals, schematics, procedures, etc.

    Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives

    Education, Experience and Knowledge:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Systems Engineering, or Computer Science or Information Technology and

    • A minimum of 3 year’s experience or equivalent
    • Ability to work effectively in team environments
    • Experience working in IoT or related environments
    • Experience managing IT Vendors and cloud service providers

    The successful candidate will have some work history in these areas:

    – Embedded processor coding and debugging

    – Cloud supported control systems

  • Developing API’s / RESTful.
  • Cloud based security
  • Familiarity with Hydronics and/or HVAC control systems.
