This exciting new role is ideal for the seasoned business development expert who thrives on developing new and emerging markets through compelling technology and products.
You will work closely with the Product Line and Executive Management to target and develop new consumer markets for our next generation RFID RAIN Reader Silicon Products. You will rapidly become the domain expert, articulating the key value propositions of RAIN RFID technology and our Reader Silicon Products to industry-leading customers in the rapidly growing IoT space. You will identify and navigate the associated ecosystems and connect with key decision makers to spur RAIN RFID adoption and position our Reader Silicon Products to become pervasive in our targeted customers’ major product platforms.
Your direct efforts will place Impinj in the center of the exploding IoT market with the unique ability to interact with prime-movers in the consumer and commercial spaces and influence how they connect the digital world of the future.
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field (MBA preferred)
8-12+ years in Marketing and/or Sales positions in the technology sector (5+ in a market or business development role)
Expert knowledge in the IoT space to include consumer and commercial trends
Demonstrated ability to rapidly pick up new technologies and become a strong product advocate
Experience articulating value proposition at both a technology and product level
Ability to identify, analyze and justify target markets and execute to an engagement plan
Experience penetrating Tier I commercial and consumer OEMs like Apple, Samsung, Cisco, Honeywell, etc.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior customer execs, marketing, architects
Demonstrated rapid business growth in an emerging market or new entry into an existing market
Ability to detail customer interactions, needs, application types, product life cycles
Strong business acumen
Willingness and ability to a significant amount of the time; including international travel
