Cerner’s User Experience team is looking for a Data Visualization Analyst with strong experiences in working with complex data sets to join them. In this role you’ll be responsible for understanding the vision of Cerner to communicate meaningful stories. You’ll have the opportunity to solve complex design challenges, work with large data-sets and present innovative ideas across Cerner and our clients.
As a Data Visualization Analyst you’ll explore various domains of the health care industry, isolate opportunities for our stakeholder to learn from data, and assist others in taking action through generating proposals. You’ll work closely with our Data Visualization Engineers and Architects to get hooked into the data. You will have the opportunity to ask unique questions and then work with our Multimedia Designer/Visual Artist to communicate that story in a meaningful way. The collaboration will transform research into a dynamic story of Cerner's impact to the health care industry.
Additional responsibilities include: presenting, developing hypotheses, and presenting proposals for investigation. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to aggregate data from a number of data sources and strategize on streamlining data aggregation as well as modeling the data for analysis.

Experience in reading and building data models
Experience with new methods of visualizing data
Experience in predictive/risk modeling
An understanding of, and experience working with, relational databases
Familiarity with data warehousing, Business Intelligence, ETL concepts, Business Objects, and Tableau
Aptitude to learn new technologies
Experience working with stakeholders to explore use cases and define requirements
Ability to work independently and proactively, and collaboratively as part of a team
Experience in communicating the findings of data analysis to a wide range of audiences
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
Must be residing in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metropolitan area
Background in healthcare information systems, public health or epidemiology
2+ years working in an analytical role
