The Data Management & Analytics (DM&A) organization is responsible for building the strategic, analytic data warehouse for Chase Financial Services and managing the Integrated Consumer Data Warehouse (ICDW) , Consumer Data Hub (Info1) , and legacy Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) data warehouses. DM&A also provides direction for large data warehouses across the firm.
Responsibilities for the Data Solution Lead include the following:
Proactively engage with the project stake-holders and understand requirements.
Logical and Physical modeling for Data warehouse.
Semantic layer modeling. Dimensional modeling to support Data Warehouse and Marts
Provide leadership to junior team members and offshore modelers.
Perform data analysis on source systems, data warehouse subject areas, and reporting data structures.
Guiding technical decisions to support long term strategy around core consumer data model.
Strong SQL skills to pull data from Teradata/Oracle and ability to utilize Teradata system tables and logs to pull system details and perform usage analysis.
Leading data modeling discussions with Business in JAD sessions
Establish standards around flexibility of the data model to ensure deviations are within established guard rails.
Define/maintain application specific solution designs that align to target state data ecosystem architectures, including viable alternatives with value propositions / trade-offs.
Assist with defining data model development methodologies, principles, standards, and governance considering People and Process optimization aspects.
Ensure data quality within the ecosystem, by aligning to guidelines, standards, and procedures.
Decompose requirements into project specific plans.
Reviewing ETL flows to identify dependencies and opportunities for optimization. Understanding the impact of ETL and data model on CPU consumption.
10 or more years of experience in Data Warehouse environment with emphasis on data modeling involving design, coupled with strong knowledge of end-to-end data warehouse development life cycle (data integration, logical and physical modeling, and data delivery) supporting enterprise analytics and BI solutions.
At least 5 years of progressive experience in Data modeling with emphasis on Dimensional modeling
Five or more years of enterprise level data design and development.
Hands on experience with modeling tool such as ERWIN or another tool
Strong experience with ETL technology with experience in ETL development with industry leading tools like Informatica, AbInitio and/or Data Stage.
Hands on experience with Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) and NoSQL database technologies used in modern data warehouse architectures supporting Discovery Analytics and BI.
Understand the big data architecture for analytics and is capable of developing detailed solutions per firm standards.
Working in a fast pace environment handling multiple projects.
Functional knowledge/experience of the Consumer Banking/Financial Services Industry.

Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using technology and/or integrating diverse user systems
