Contribute to the Enterprise Business Intelligence-Data Science team, responsible for building and maintaining predictive models to enable data-driven analysis and decision-making pertaining to finance, forecasting, operations, and business strategies; gather business requirements in order to address the information, reporting, and analytical needs of the company, determining the most effective use of quantitative research methods and tools to develop solutions; utilize SQL queries to extract large volumes of raw heterogeneously sourced data from large-scale data warehouses and platforms, including Hadoop; perform data mining, manipulation, and statistical analysis using data science techniques and tools to identify and extract predictive elements; perform data clustering, using K-means, DBSCAN, and variable clustering techniques to reduce, categorize and organize data into clusters for efficient analysis; utilize machine-learning algorithms and tools, such as KNIME and Weka to preprocess data in preparation for modeling, analysis and visualization; build statistical models, including regression tables, decision trees, and neural networks, using programming languages such as SAS, R, Scala, Julia, C++, Python etc.; translate and document complex data-set analyses; and present and communicate final analyses and results to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner, offering business insights and recommendations to various stakeholders.
Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in any quantitative or scientific field, and knowledge of the following, gained through graduate-level coursework, thesis research, or experience: data extraction and manipulation using SQL, statistical analysis of large volumes of raw, heterogeneously-sourced data, and building predictive models using any of the following programming languages: SAS, Python, and/or R.
