Job Summary:
Provide expert-level analysis for major complex

analytical projects and initiatives. Influence

analyst development, reporting strategy, and resource management for varied

operational areas of CPMG. Is accountable

for the quality of the analysis, advice, and product delivery. Assists in defining the vision, strategy, and

work plan for the analyst team.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
·

In

collaboration with business clients and project teams, provide information

analysis and analytical support for complex business needs such as

developing/implementing a methodology for risk-stratification of our entire

membership population

·

Accountable

for designing, coordinating, analyzing and leading major analytical initiatives

·

Ensure

appropriate ownership and buy-in on analytical projects and business processes

by senior management and sponsors. Maintain effective client and peer

relationships

·

Apply

business area expertise to define and frame complex, multi-dimensional

projects, developing the goals, direction, methodology, work plan and schedule

·

Proactively

identify and research key business issues by regularly analyzing trends in

organization’s performance. Design analytic approaches and analysis to address

business questions or issues

·

Participate

in interpreting data, providing recommendations in support of critical business

decisions

·

Prepare

presentations that communicate complex analysis and findings in a simple, concise

manner

·

Provide

training, direction and mentorship to analysts within the department; serve as

a consultant to department staff in interpretation of report requirements and

creation of reports

·

Identify

and realize opportunities for cross-regional reporting efficiencies within KP;

act as single point of contact in cross-regional reporting initiatives

·

Support

strategic management decision-making

·

Manage

high level data quality, participating in or leading data quality

problem-solving efforts

·

Provide

oversight to a team, transfer knowledge and tools to staff and clients through

advice, training and coaching activities

·

Ability to drive and implement recommendations

·

Oversight

of work, mentoring, staff development, and customer relations

·

Provide input regarding performance management

·

Duties overlapping with accountabilities of

level 3 and level 4 data & information analysts

·

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:
BS/BA degree in mathematics, computer science,

science, information technology, engineering, health care administration or

related field.

Preferred Education:
Advanced degree in mathematics, computer

science, science, information technology, engineering, health care

administration or related field.

Required Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:
·

10

years of relevant analytical experience, including 4+ years of experience in health care

delivery or health insurance

·

Proven

leadership skills in personnel management

·

Advanced

proficiency with SQL

·

Advanced proficiency in one or more of the following:
Business Objects, SAS, SPP, Cognos, Crystal Reports.

·

Other reporting and analytics software may be

considered

Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications:
·

Knowledge

of KPCO and CPMG operations

·

Experience

with Epic’s Clarity data model and/or other Epic applications (such as Resolute

PB, EpicCare, Healthy Planet, etc)

·

Knowledge of advanced statistical and decision

analysis techniques such as predictive and simulation modeling
