Spend the summer as part of MITRE’s Data Analytics team, where you will work on a data analytics project (potential topics include big data analytics, data mining, and data visualization) to enable data-driven decisions and insights. Experience with analytic techniques and methods (e.g., supervised and unsupervised machine learning, statistical inference, link analysis, and text mining) as well as software languages is preferred. Relevant software languages and big data technologies include: Java, Python, R, C#, C, SAS, analytic engines, Hadoop, parallelized analytic algorithms, and NoSQL and massively parallel processing databases. The successful candidate will have the ability to formulate problems, prototype solutions, and to analyze results.
This position is for 8-12 weeks in the summer of 2015.
