Within Consumer and Community Banking, the Digital IT team is responsible for setting and executing strategies that align with business objectives and drive innovation across Chase Online and Mobile, helping to establish the best Digital banking customer experience in the industry.
As Application Developer within the Digital Big Data & Analytics team you will contribute to high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications for the Chase Online customer base. You will contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of a number of strategic software applications. The ability to communicate effectively is required as you will work closely with other groups both within and outside of Digital to coordinate design, development, and testing efforts of your assigned application components to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
Key responsibilities include:
Hands on lead development role focused on creating big data and analytics solutions for Digital channel
Coding of mission critical components
Analyze business and functional requirements and contribute to IT solution
Participate in design reviews, provide input to the design recommendations
Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members
Experience in middle-tier/backend systems development in Java/Linux
Working experience with Hadoop, Enterprise Java development, NoSql data platforms (Cassandra), Pub/sub messaging (Rendezvous, AMPS, Kafka, etc), Stream processing (Storm, Spark Streaming, etc)
Experience with horizontally scalable and highly available system design and implementation, with focus on performance and resiliency
Experience profiling, debugging, and performance tuning complex distributed systems
Willingness to commit extra effort to meet deadlines as required on a high profile and business critical project
Bachelor’s degree or better in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
