BI and Data Architect
As New Relic scales and diversifies its business, we are hiring a BI and Data Architect to execute on the ongoing build out and management of our world-class data capability. You will be tasked with successfully delivering data engineering and architecture-related aspects of current and future Data and Business Intelligence platforms, technology and tools, as well as providing on-going quality data and software engineering solutions and support for the Data and BI team.
We’re looking for a technically proficient engineering professional with a consistent track record in the architecture and delivery of complex software and data engineering systems within established data, software engineering and architecture best practices, standards and quality, and is well versed in agile/scrum based product development.
This BI and Data Architect will work with the larger CIO organization and cross functionally in the development of a data architecture and capability that provides accurate, timely, accessible, actionable, secure, and compliant data/insights across the company.
Architecting scalable, technically viable, and best-in-class data solutions for a growing Data and BI infrastructure.
Delivering on key data and technical engineering software, solutions, processes and team projects as assigned.
Helping with task definition and acceptance criteria for the implementation of solutions within the Data and BI team.
Developing of data services necessary to facilitate projects undertaken by the Data and BI team.
Providing technical leadership on how to leverage the company’s Data and BI Platform (s), its architecture and schema.

You’re able to analyze poorly defined areas and processes within a cross-functional organization and can implement new and improved processes.
Experience we’re looking for:
12+ years engineering, architecting and development of data-intensive operational systems; machine learning experience a plus
Enterprise Architecture and hands-on Data Integration expertise with 3rd party applications, API's, ETL, data modeling tools
Deep experience with Informatica Cloud, Secure Agent, PowerCenter, Data Quality and Data Governance systems capabilities
Proven ability to work with varied data infrastructures (relational databases, column stores, NoSQL, file-based, other)
Experience in object-oriented programming, real-time data pipeline construction (like Kafka) a plus
Developed web service clients and RESTful server interfaces, AWS development and operations experience preferred
Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, strategic thinking, and proven analytical and quantitative ability
The ability to communicate about complex architectural concepts and technical problems in a simple, accessible way
Desire and ability to lead and collaborate with other architects, engineers, team members, user base and stakeholders
Understanding of multi-product business, SaaS based business, and enterprise B2B market dynamics preferred
Experience with high growth companies and companies $500M+ in revenue preferred
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
