An understanding of analytic methodologies pertaining to marketing measurement is essential, with particular focus on Menu Engineering and Optimization, Menu Pricing development and analysis, Marketing & Promotional analysis, Media Mix modeling and customer/CRM analytics. While this role guides and directs analytics, they must also have the ability to “roll up sleeves” and get into data/models. Critical skill is the ability to take very technical content, distil key business insights and articulate to non-technical audiences. The role involves direct client engagement and requires ability to work with all levels up to the C-Suite and across the key client functions of Marketing, Finance, IT, Culinary, Research. Collaboration is central to success, internally work with the broader Analytics & Consulting team which includes project sponsors, chief analytics officer (CAO), data architects, data scientists and business analysts, outside contractors and other team functions as project requires. While achieving revenue goals is essential, success is equally driven by securing and building upon long-term client relationships.
Conduct analysis and present key findings based on scope of work and ongoing client analytical work.
Understand key business questions/problems to solve as presented by Client/Project Sponsor/scope of work outline.
Research background on client’s brand (internet, internal documentation, client Q&A, past analytics work); understand how the client’s assess their business, what their goals are, what their pain points are, what are the non-negotiable considerations relative to the given project.
Project manage client requests, proactively communicate and collaborate with Client as well as internal team to complete deliverables on time; establish timelines, communicate regularly with the internal teams; collaborate with all functional areas as needed – i.e.,data programming/loading, data scientists team, project sponsors, others as required.
Provide guidance and framework for: POS data onboarding (new or existing clients), including table structure, product categorization, location table and other pertinent database parameters required.
Direct the organization of supplemental data inputs – competitor pricing, marketing data, price elasticity, macroeconomic data and other as required.
Gather information from multiple sources (internal and from client) that will help the team reconcile conflicts, track client performance; review flagged anomalies with team, troubleshoot data issues with team as needed.
Prepare reports that portray trends, changes and overall financial implications of client initiatives in partnership with business analyst partners.
Perform financial modeling including revenue/sales, costs, margin, traffic/transactions and rates of return; set up, maintain, adjust impact sheets and other tools needed to achieve project goals.
Direct quantitative and qualitative analytics and research, leading to understanding of how to leverage findings to drive profitability for client.
Ability to read and understand the outputs of analytical tools (Tableau standard reports, descriptive statistics on KPIs/products/purchase profile, pre/post analytics, price elasticity and pricing power outputs) to uncover factors influencing business trends using client data inputs and help provide guidance/analysis and recommendations for client reports.
Lead internal team meetings on client work in progress, develop & deliver presentation to clients in person and via phone.

Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant insights and actions
A student of the big data phenomenon, well-versed in and enthusiastic about big data.
Ability to “roll up sleeves” and get into data/models
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers and subject matter experts.
Restaurant industry experience desirable.
Work well both independently and as part of a team, solicits feedback, asks question.

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
Good skills in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Tableau a plus
Highly organized, self-directed and motivated.
Education and Experience Required:
BS in Business, Economics, Operations Management; a focus in Hospitality and/or Restaurant Management and Operations a plus.
Major Programs of Study Desired: Restaurant Operations, Business Administration or Statistics/Economics/Business/Quantitative Finance/ Operations Research or Management Science
