Position: Analyst, Marketing Investment Analytics

The Marketing Investment Analytics Analyst is responsible for understanding and optimizing the company’s investment in digital marketing. This person will develop and maintain key KPI projections for the ecommerce business, as well as specific marketing channels. Using data driven insights, this person will develop a deep understanding of the underlying influencers of the KPIs in order to provide insight into channel and timing allocation of the budget. This person will collaborate with digital marketing to ensure new strategies and tests are properly designed for measurement, and will provide analysis of the results. The expectation is that this individual will become the expert on analyzing the business impact of marketing initiatives, such as their contribution to ROAS and customer acquisition. This role will work collaboratively with the digital marketing, planning and retail finance teams.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create, maintain and update all marketing reporting initiatives, including summary dashboard for senior leadership
  • Develop analytically rigorous approach to marketing investment across all directly owned channels (ecommerce, collection, lifestyle, outlet stores) and recommendations for optimizing spend

Build annual marketing budget & track marketing spend throughout the year, providing recommendations based on channel spend and performance to improve KPIs
Create and maintain projections for all KPIs for performance marketing channels in order to provide a perspective on the total ecommerce business
Lock quarterly forecasts & vet annual traffic plans based on prior trends and promotional cadence
Develop a robust understanding of what influences KPIs and analyze data in order to uncover trends and correlations, and ultimately identify opportunities and risks
Work in collaboration with the digital marketing team to test, measure and analyze the impact of current and potential marketing tactics and strategies
Perform ad-hoc analysis and create effective and persuasive presentations (verbal and written) for project teams and business leaders
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Analytics, Economics, or comparable
2-4 years experience in financial forecasting or analytics
Strong analytical capabilities; knowledge of statistics a plus
Ability to communicate with all levels of the business, prioritize & manage assignments to meet deadlines and establish solid relationships
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Entrepreneurial; ability to drive forward with goals independently
Understanding of digital marketing
